It was along day and very tired when we went there the food was very good and we enjoy our dinner so much
Hidden gem with flavor, heart, and a bit of smoke from the grill Zirtan is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell people about, just to keep it to yourself. Small, cozy, just a few tables — which means you’re not treated like a number, but like a guest. The service? Friendly and relaxed. Our waitress (a charming Ukrainian girl with a smile that says “you’re in good hands”) was lovely. And then there’s the chef, an Afghan guy, who clearly loves what he does. You can see it, smell it, and most importantly, taste it. I had the steak. Juicy, tender, grilled just right basically everything I wanted from a steak, minus the guilt. It didn’t need fancy sauces or a parade of sides. Just a confident piece of meat done well. Zirtan doesn’t try too hard and that’s its magic. It’s honest, warm, and delicious. A little like being invited to someone’s home, if that someone happens to be great at cooking and doesn’t mind you drinking all their wine. Definitely coming back. Just don’t tell too many people, OK?
Our lovely waitress recommended that my partner and I order the traditional (for two) four course meal. I was taken away from how amazing each course was for the price we payed. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for something authentic.
Such a great spot! Unbelievably amazing value, we paid 35€ each for a 4 course dinner including a delicious 1kg steak and a bottle of wine. The service was exceptional, Tanya was so attentive. 100/10 would def recommend
Honestly, and I mean it with my whole heart - I never had such good food at such good price and especially at susch touristy location! Everything is top notch, and honestly I cant recommend it enough. The meat and grilled fish were a dream! But please also try the afghan dishes such as Mantu, they‘re so well made and we were honestly surprised to find such delicacys in san sebastian!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Fantastic value and great service. A real hidden gem.
Great service and great food! Satisfied my cravings for grilled octopus and steak! Highly recommend tourists to come over to try some authentic spanish food.
On a hot night, it was cool and the food was sumptuously cooked & presented. The Galician Blond steak grilled over woodfire was superb! We also ordered the Buffalo mozzarella (so creamy!) salad with ripe tomatoes and mesclun. We enjoyed a bottle of regional wine that paired well with the food. After dinner, we were offered locally produced digestive liquor. Go as soon as you can!
